Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) FairlyCart uses on fairlycart.com.au, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Strictly necessary

These keep the site working and can't be switched off. They include your cart contents, checkout session, sign-in session (if you have an account), and saved delivery location — stored in your browser's local storage or as session cookies, and kept only as long as needed for that session or until you clear your browser data.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand how FairlyCart is used — which pages are visited, which features are used, and where people run into problems — so we can improve the product. Where configured, we may also use Google Analytics. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers that persist across visits (typically retained for up to 12 months) and may record device, browser and approximate location information. Analytics data is not used to make decisions about you individually.

Functional

Google Maps/Places is used for address search and autocomplete at checkout and when setting your delivery location. Google may set its own cookies when this loads — see Google's cookie policy for details.

Payments

Stripe may set cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and process your payment securely. We don't control these directly — see Stripe's cookie policy.

Your controls

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you do this per-site or globally. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of FairlyCart working, such as checkout or staying signed in. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Changes to this policy

As we add or change the tools FairlyCart uses, we'll update this page — the "updated" date above always reflects the latest version.
